Purpose and use
The liturgical guipure lace has been designed primarily as a decorative finish for church vestments and textiles. The cross and grapevine motifs refer directly to Christian and Eucharistic symbolism, making the pattern particularly suitable for traditional liturgical garments.

The guipure lace is suitable for use as:

  • guipure lace for surplices,
  • guipure lace for albs,
  • guipure lace for altar cloths,
  • guipure lace for liturgical vestments,
  • decorative trimming for church textiles,

Pattern and decoration
The guipure lace features a richly ornamented openwork pattern with cross and grapevine motifs, creating a harmonious composition with a distinctly liturgical character. In Christian symbolism, the cross represents the Sacrifice of Christ, while the grapevine refers to Christ as the true vine and to the symbolism of the Eucharist and the Blood of Christ. The distinctive raised relief structure of the guipure lace further highlights the pattern and gives the decoration a three-dimensional, elegant appearance. Its height of 30 cm allows it to be used as a prominent decorative element on surplices, albs and church textiles.

The pattern is an original design created in our workshop and is protected by copyright.

Guipure lace – a traditional decorative technique
Guipure, also known as Venetian lace, is distinguished by its rich texture and decorative raised relief pattern. The technique used to produce it has been known for many centuries, and guipure lace has long been used to decorate liturgical vestments and church textiles. Its distinctive construction makes it possible to create striking openwork patterns with a pronounced three-dimensional structure.

Why choose liturgical guipure lace?
Guipure lace combines the traditional decoration of liturgical vestments with original designs created in our workshop. Its rich raised structure and religious cross and grapevine motifs make it possible to create elegant surplices, albs and church textiles with a distinctive individual character.
